Informal charges against Warrensburg man accompany injury accident

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A Warrensburg man is charged with intoxicated driving after an injury crash last (Mon) night.

Highway Patrol responded in Johnson County to WB Route 50, at 601 Road. A vehicle driven by Brian Paredes, 28, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. He was released from custody to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.

Charges against Paredes for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain financial responsibility are pending.

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A Knob Noster man awaits formal charges after a traffic incident in Johnson County.

An arrest report names Weslee Pilkinton, 23, as informally charged with driving while intoxicated as a prior offender. Also listed were allegations of failure to drive in the right half of the road resulting in a crash, no insurance, and no plates. He was taken to Warrensburg Police Department for investigation, and released from custody.

Sedalia resident arrested in Pettis County for felony and misdemeanor drug possession

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. — A Sedalia resident has been taken into custody Friday after being arrested for felony and misdemeanor possession of drugs.

According to the arrest report, troopers apprehended Keegan R. Webner, 19, at around 12:46 p.m. Friday.

Webner is preliminarily charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Webner was transported to Pettis County Jail for processing and then released.

Lebanon man arrested in Miller County for possession of a controlled substance

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — Troopers of Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a Lebanon resident in Miller County Friday night.

According to the arrest report, Darrell j. Burns, 55, was apprehended at 8:05 p.m. Friday.

Burns is preliminarily charged with possession of a controlled substance, Alprazolam, and was taken to a local hospital.

He was released to the custody of the hospital staff and currently has no bond.

Moberly man arrested for failure to register as sex offender

MOBERLY, MO – A Moberly police patrol led to the arrest of a non compliant sex offender Sunday night.

Police say they made contact with Bruce Fischer, 55, in the 1300 block of S. Morley, who was found to be in possession of items reported stolen out of Iowa. Fischer allegedly had four active warrants for failure to register as a sex offender, and traffic violations. Additional charges will be sought. Fischer was detained in Randolph County in lieu of a total bond over $4,000.

Chillicothe man facing felony drug charges following warrant service Saturday

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. — An investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office netted a large quantity of methamphetamine and resulted in felony charges for a Chillicothe man.

According to the County Sheriff’s Office and recently filed court records, deputies arrested Randy Ray Campbell, 36, on an outstanding warrant for third degree felony assault on Saturday.

During a search of his person and residence, methamphetamine, marijuana, roughly $4,200 cash, a digital scale and other items commonly associated with drug distribution were recovered and logged into evidence.

Officers reportedly seized eleven bags of methamphetamine during the arrest, weighing in at just over 35 grams.

Campbell is charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance, except 35 grams or less of marijuana.

He remains in custody at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, held on $20,000 cash only bond. Future court dates have not yet been set.

Two arrested and jailed in Lafayette County for illegal drug possession

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – A Columbia resident is in custody after an arrest early Tuesday morning in Lafayette County.

Missouri Highway Patrol alleges Mary Taggart, 55, of Columbia, and Tamra Stevens, 32, of Kansas City, were in possession of methamphetamine, and psilocybin mushrooms.

Stevens was also arrested on a probation and parole warrant. She was taken to lafayette County Jail without bond. Taggart is held for a 24-hour investigation.

MONROE COUNTY, MO – A Moberly man is in custody after his arrest in Monroe County.

An arrest this morning of Earl Perkins, 49, of Moberly, was for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The informal felony charge indicates Perkins is a habitual offender. Additional charges in an arrest report include driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving, and no insurance. He was taken to Monroe County Jail in lieu of bond.


Utah man facing felony drug delivery charge in Saline County

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Fromal drug charges have been filed against a Utah man arrested with drugs in Saline County on Wednesday.

Court records filed Wednesday indicate that Mason L. Konane, 33, of Moab, Utah was pulled over for alleged speeding at mile marker 82.4 on Interstate 70 eastbound in Saline County around 10:31 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30.

During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a canine unit alerted state troopers to contraband in the vehicle. Officers reportedly recovered approximately 20 lbs. of raw marijuana inside individual vacuum-sealed packages, to which Konane allegedly admitted possessing.

Konane also told investigators he was transporting the marijuana to Vermont, where he planned to sell the contraband.

Konane is formally charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance, except 35 grams or less of marijuana. He remains behind bars at the Saline County Jail, held on $25,o00 bond, cash or surety allowed.

Future court dates are currently pending.

Paris drug bust ends with arrest

MONROE COUNTY, MO – A drug bust in Paris Missouri led to the arrest of one resident Friday afternoon.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with state Highway Patrol, and east central drug task force, executed a warrant at Pitts Street in Paris, where officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, and paraphernalia. Taken into custody, was Jared Levings, 33, who is detained on a 24-hour hold at the County Jail, pending formal charges.

ADAIR COUNTY, MO – A Kirksville resident is under arrest by Highway Patrol Friday afternoon in Adair County.

Felonies will be sought against James S. Baker, 50, who is preliminarily charged with controlled substance possession, including methamphetamine, and synthetic amphetamine pills, unlawful possession of a weapon, and paraphernalia use. Baker was taken to Adair County Jail for a 24-hour hold.

Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety for Lane Michael Carey, 21, for felonies in Ray County, including 2nd degree domestic assault, and 1st degree property damage. Future court dates have not been set.

COOPER COUNTY, MO – A resident of Otterville is under arrest by Highway Patrol Monday evening.

An arrest report lists informal charges against Landria Curry, 25, that include driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in the proper half of the road resulting in a crash, and no seat belt. Curry is also listed as a DWI prior offender. She was taken to Cooper County Jail in lieu of bond.

Man accused of drug trafficking in Cooper Co. back in court

COOPER COUNTY, MO – An out of state resident is scheduled for arraignment in a Cooper County drug trafficking case.

The charges against Chad Davis, 31, of Anna Il. eventuated after a vehicle stop along I-70, in October last year. A probable cause statement suggests a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 80 lbs of marijuana in vacuum-sealed packages. The felony trafficking charge is combined with a misdemeanor paraphernalia possession allegation. Davis was set at liberty after posting surety bond last year. Arraignment is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Arrests made after vehicle fails to flee from deputies

MONITEAU COUNTY, MO – A drug arrest was made by Moniteau Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday.

Deputies were called to a corn field near Old Swiss, and Brush Creek Roads, where a vehicle that had attempted to flee the area, became stuck. After consent was given to search the vehicle, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia were allegedly confiscated. Arrests were made of Jessica Iven, 33, and Byron Smith, 34, of California. Both were found to be on probation or parole. Bond was set at $25,000 each.


Two suspects apprehended in murder investigation

KIRKSVILLE, MO – Two suspects have been taken into custody in relation to a murder investigation in Kirksville.

Officers responded to the scene of the alleged shooting to find Izaiha McFarland, 17, deceased from a gunshot wound. Police arrested Andrew Head, 17, and Drake Zanoni, 18, both of Kirksville, as suspects. Formal charges have not yet been filed. 2nd degree murder charges are being sought.

Murder, arson charges brought against woman after husband’s death

MILLER COUNTY, MO – An Iberia resident has been accused of murder, according to court records.

A warrant was listed Thursday for Amy Murray, 41. She has been charged with 1st degree murder, arson, armed criminal action, and tampering with evidence. Murray is accused of poisoning her husband, Joshua Murray, and subsequently burning his body in a house fire, December 11, according to investigations completed by Miller County Sheriff, and Boone County Medical Examiner.

Friday, a motion hearing was scheduled for the 13th of this month. A motion for bond reduction, which currently stands at $750,000, was also listed Friday in records.

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – Charges are being sought against a resident of Lee’s Summit after an arrest by state Highway Patrol Friday afternoon in Johnson County.

An arrest report names William F. Dwyer, 23, as informally charged with a felony for controlled substance possession, driving while intoxicated, and child endangerment. Dwyer was taken to Johnson County Jail for initial investigation.

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. – A Fulton woman was arrested on a felony drug allegation when Callaway County deputies served an arrest warrant early Friday morning.

According to the press release, deputies came in contact with Tarrah Elsea, 29, just after 6:30 a.m. in the morning. When deputies made the arrest, they discovered Elsea was in possession of methamphetamine and meth related paraphernalia. Along with the no bond warrant,

Elsea is being held for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as a prior offender.

Molestation case concludes in Carroll County

CARROLLTON, MO – A Carrollton man pleaded guilty to reduced charges in a previous molestation case.

At a hearing Friday, last week, William R. Grimes, 35, pleaded guilty to a class A misdemeanor, furnishing pornographic materials to a minor. He was previously charged with child molestation, and child enticement.

Grimes’ sentence was suspended, and he was placed on 2 years supervised probation.
