Motion seeks to delay tomorrow’s preliminary setting in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. – A motion hearing today will determine if a preliminary hearing will be scheduled Thursday afternoon in Livingston County.

The attorney for Randy Ray Campbell, 36, of Chillicothe filed a motion for continuance Monday, to delay a setting preliminary hearing set for 1:30 p.m., Thursday afternoon. Campbell was charged in January with a single count of felony delivery of a controlled substance. Deputies serving an arrest warrant for assault, found a large quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, over $4,200 cash and other paraphernalia it Campbell’s residence.

Today’s hearing is on the docket for 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon.


Alleged non-compliant offender arrested by troopers

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – A Lake Lafayette resident was arrested Wednesday evening by Highway Patrol for county warrants.

An arrest report names Justin Haskell, 45, for a Lafayette County warrant, and felony probation and parole warrant. He is the subject of court records accusing him of failure to register as a sex offender. Haskell was taken to Lafayette County Jail without bond.

Cole Camp man to be charged after resisting arrest

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – The arrest of a Cole Camp man preceded informal felony charges Thursday afternoon.

Charges against Sean Cunningham, 38, were recommended by Highway Patrol, including resisting arrest, speeding, careless and imprudent driving, and no valid license. Two misdemeanors had been outstanding out of Pettis County.

Cunningham was taken to Pettis County Jail without bond.

Georgia man held on drug allegation in Boone County.

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. – A driver from Georgia was jailed in Boone County, after being stopped Saturday afternoon by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The online arrest report says Kendrick N. Bussard, 25, of Marietta, Ga., had no operators license when he was stopped around 5:40 p.m. yesterday. The report alleges Bussard was in felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of up to 10 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bussard was eligible to post bond at the Boone County Jail.

Arrest in Miller County lands Eldon man in jail

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested an Eldon man in Miller County early Sunday morning.

According to the arrest report, Michael S. Callison, 63, was taken into custody at 1:27 a.m. Sunday.

Callison has been preliminarily charged with felony possession of a controlled substance — Alazopram, allegedly — and DWI, in addition to failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Callison was transported to the Miller County Jail where he is listed as bondable.

Clinton County chase precedes arrest of murder suspect

CLINTON COUNTY, MO – The arrest of a murder suspect Saturday followed a high speed chase through Clinton County, according to the county Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies deployed spike strips along I-35, Saturday evening, slowing a vehicle driven by Abdon Ochoa-Villaneda, who is wanted for first degree murder, and attempted murder out of Illinois. The pursuit in Clinton County reached speeds up to 125 mph. After a wreck involving the suspect vehicle, Ochoa-Villaneda fled on foot, but was arrested after a short standoff before 6 p.m. His bond is set at $5 million.

Warrensburg suspect arrested for leaving scene of accident

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – The arrest of a Warrensburg resident Sunday afternoon, was prompted by a felony warrant out of Lafayette County.

A warrant was issued by Concordia Police February 5, naming Miriah Thompson, and indicating a felony for leaving the scene of an accident when property damage is over $1 thousand.

Thompson was taken to Johnson County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bond.

Three arrested on drug allegations in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — Three local residents were jailed in Lafayette County Tuesday morning accused of drug possession by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

38-year-old James L. Lowery and 33-year-old Richy L. Mallot, both of Richmond, and 51-year-old James L. Lowery, of Lincoln, were each arrested just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol alleges that all three were in felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

All three are on 24-hour investigative holds awaiting the filing of formal charges.


Drug allegations leveled against King City resident in Andrew County

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — A King City man is being held without bond in Andrew County, after an arrest by the Missouri Highway Patrol last night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol arrest report, 31-year-old Tyler D. Guess is incarcerated for a felony probation and parole warrant for obstructing a police investigation.

He also faces allegations of possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia as well as driving while revoked.

Guess was arrested a little after 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Brookfield man gets bond reduction hearing in assault case

LINN COUNTY, MO – A bond reduction hearing was scheduled today for a Brookfield man accused of assault.

Court documents name Matthew Tracy, 27, as charged with disarming an officer on duty from February 13. Tracy is also accused of assault, and domestic assault. He waived arraignment yesterday. Bond is currently set at $50,000 cash. The reduction hearing in Linn County is scheduled for the 28th of this month.

Platte Co standoff ends peacefully

PLATTE CITY, MO – The Platte County Sheriff and SWAT team apprehended a suspect after a standoff at a Platte City apartment.

According to Sheriff, Mark Owen, law enforcement responded this morning to the 100 block of O’Rourke where Sanquan Brooks, 29, was taken into custody after a 3.5 hr standoff, during which Crisis negotiation teams talked to the suspect. No injuries were reported. Brooks had an outstanding parole warrant. He is held at Platte county Detention Center.

Holts Summit woman arrested for drugs and driving under the influence

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — Troopers from the Missouri Highway Patrol arrested a Holts Summit woman early Saturday morning.

According to the arrest report, Lajoy S. Porter, 29, was taken into custody in Callaway County at 1:27 a.m. Saturday.

Porter is preliminary charged with driving under the influence, driving while suspended, possession of between 11 to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

Troop F of Missouri Highway Patrol transported Porter to the Callaway County Jail where she is listed as bondable.

Troopers arrest a Green City man in Putnam County for possession of a controlled substance

PUTNAM COUNTY, Mo. — A Green City man was arrested Friday night by troopers in Putnam County.

Troop B of the Missouri Highway Patrol reports that Mark D. Miller, 47, was taken into custody at 8:35 p.m. Friday.

Miller is preliminarily charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Miller was taken to the Putnam County Jail and placed on a 24 hour investigative hold.

Court case pursued against driver accused in fatal crash

COLUMBIA, MO – Formal charges were filed as part of an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred the 16th of February.

Bond is set at $1 million for Lukas Evans, 20, who was the driver of a vehicle that hit another car on West Boulevard in Columbia. The crash killed Jordan Hoyt, 37.

A warrant listed Friday cites 2nd degree murder, and leaving the scene of an accident. Future court dates are pending.

Drug possession among informal charges for Hardin subject

RAY COUNTY, MO – A Hardin resident is informally charged with methamphetamine possession after an arrest this afternoon by Highway Patrol.

According to a report, Paula Chitty, 39, was apprehended in Ray County and charged with methamphetamine and lithium possession. Additional charges include driving while suspended and illegal marijuana possession.

Chitty was taken to Ray County Jail for investigation.


Arrest made after drug arrest in Utica

UTICA, MO – A resident of Utica was arrested Wednesday for felony drug possession.

Livingston County detectives were involved in the pursuit of Brian Neal Moore, 49, in September 2018. After a vehicle chase and foot chase, methamphetamine and distribution equipment were seized. Moore was later arrested for methamphetamine possession. After lab results were received, a warrant was issued today with bond set at $10,000.

Moore is charged with felonies for meth possession and resisting arrest. Court dates are pending.

Chillicothe man accused of assault

CHILLICOTHE, MO – A Chillicothe man accused of sexual assault had a hearing continued Wednesday.

A warrant was issued last week for Dale M. Barker, 42, who is charged with felonies for assault, promoting a sexual performance by a child, and domestic assault.

A preliminary hearing was continued to March 20. Bond is set at $75,000.

Hearing scheduled Thursday for Cass County drug trafficking case

CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Court documents still do not list an attorney for a Kansas City woman accused of drug trafficking in Cass County.

At her initial arraignment in January, the court entered a not guilty plea on behalf of 32-year-old Cassey N. Reed.

Reed was charged with drug trafficking in the second degree after her arrest by Raymore Police on March 16.

The court ordered Reed, who is free on bond, to appear Thursday morning at 9:00 for a case review.

Belton man charged with burglary of storage unit

HARRISONVILLE, MO – A warrant was issued yesterday for a Belton man accused of burglary.

The Cass County Sheriff, and Harrisonville Police responded Tuesday to a storage unit in the 900 block of S. Oakland Street after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Investigators found signs of forced entry, and items which had been moved and stacked near the door. With the help of a K-9 unit, Amos Matlock, 37, was located and taken into custody on the felony burglary charge. Bond was established at $5,000.

Novinger man charged with assault

ADAIR COUNTY, MO – A warrant today includes felony charges, against a Novinger man, according to court records.

The Adair County Sheriff responded Wednesday to Route O to reports that a vehicle had been hit by a bullet. Deputies found Michael Mahurin, 33, hiding on the premises of the residence. He is formally charged with unlawful use and possession of a weapon, assault, armed criminal action, and illegal drug possession. Bond was set at $150,000.
