Lexington man charged with molestation pleads guilty

UPDATE (08/04/16 3:15 P.M.)

After multiple hearings for James Foltz, a disposition hearing was held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 in regards to his molestation charge. Foltz withdrew his original plea of not guilty, and the Court accepted the plea and found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. A sentencing hearing for the charge will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2016.

LEXINGTON, Mo – The continuation of a case brought against a Lexington man will be heard in Lafayette County Circuit Court.

A date has been set for Tuesday, July 5, for a 491 hearing of evidence by a minor witness as admissible evidence in a jury trial which is scheduled August 3, 2016.

The trial will test a single charge of child molestation from 2015, against James Foltz, 74.  Foltz posted a surety bond of $50,000 in October.

The hearing is at 3 p.m.
