MACON, MO – An ongoing investigation yielded some results for Macon Police and Macon County Sheriff’s Department.
A news release Friday by the police department says numerous thefts have been reported out of unlocked motor vehicles. A search warrant executed in cooperation with sheriff’s deputies Monday this week in the 300 block of East Union Street, resulted in the recovery of stolen property. One male suspect was taken into custody and is under investigation. Officers believe additional arrests may be pending. There also may be victims who have not come forward to report the loss of their property. Macon police are asking residents to contact law enforcement to aid in the return of property to its rightful owners.
