Methamphetamine and weapons seized following traffic stop in Boonville

BOONVILLE, Mo.- Two arrests were made and drugs were seized as a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Morgan Street yesterday in Boonville.

According to a release from the Boonville Police Department, following a vehicle stop, Lance Stout, 44, of New Bloomfield, Mo., was arrested for driving while revoked. During a subsequent search of the vehicle Stout was found to be in alleged possession of methamphetamine, brass knuckles and a pipe used to smoke meth. Nearly an ounce of methamphetamine and imitation controlled substance were seized during the investigation as well as two handguns, brass knuckles, packaging/distribution materials and an undisclosed amount of US currency.

Stout’s companion, Kathryn C Swafford, 40, of California, Mo., was also arrested in this case for possession of methamphetamine.

They are currently being held in the Cooper County Jail and have not formally been charged.
