LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department is confirming reports of a high speed chase that took place earlier Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Authorities in Saline County received the initial report of a stolen vehicle.
That vehicle was eventually located by Carroll County Sheriff Bill McCoy.
The Carroll County Sheriff and a deputy attempted to stop the Dodge Utility Truck, but the driver fled, nearly striking motorists. Eventually the chase wound into Livingston County as far north as Ludlow and Highway 36.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called in to assist along with a Livingston County Deputy who deployed stop strips on Highway 36. The stolen pickup rolled over the stops trips and the front tires deflated immediately. The vehicle continued on for a short while with the rear tires deflating. It eventually came to a stop near Highway 36 and Route CC.
The suspect surrendered without incident and was turned over to Carroll County authorities.
The suspect driver has not been identified.
