PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. — An informant cooperating with a police investigation dating back to September has led to the arrest of two people from Sedalia prosecutors allege were running a heroin distribution ring in Pettis County.
A traffic stop of an unidentified individual on September 18 of last year supplied the names of a pair who allegedly sold heroin, which was found during the stop by Sedalia police.
The alleged drug dealers were identified as Tuesday Sparks, 27, and Kenneth McGee, 47, both of Sedalia. Officers carried out a search warrant in the 1500 block of East 4th Street at a residence allegedly used for the distribution of heroin.
Heroin, prescription medications and drug distribution materials were found in the residence on East 4th Street, according to a probable cause statement. A second raid by law enforcement at a residence in the 4300 block of McVey Road allegedly uncovered methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
McGee faces felony charges for delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Sparks is charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location as well as a single count for possession of a controlled substance.
Bond was set for McGee at $75,000 and for Sparks at $125,000. Both are currently held in Pettis County. Court dates have not yet been set.
