CARROLLTON, MO – The Carroll County Prosecutor has filed charges against two residents in connection with an alleged kidnapping.
An investigation by Carrollton Police led to the arrests of Justus Webb, 19, and Devon Wright, 17. They are charged with kidnapping in the first degree, assault, and armed criminal action.
According to probable cause statements obtained from police, Webb and Wright attempted to cause physical harm to the victim Thursday, January 11, in order to coerce the victim to give false testimony in an unrelated felony prosecution. The victim was bound and taken to rural Carroll County, where he freed himself of his restraints and fought with the suspects. The suspects were able to overpower the victim. assault him and left him for dead. The victim was able to walk to a nearby residence and ask for assistance.
They are both held in lieu of cash bonds of $100,000 each.
