ADAIR C OUNTY, Mo. – Formal charges have been filed against a man who fought officers during an arrest at the Kirksville Walmart, just before noon Tuesday.
When 
the officers contacted Shane Mullen, 30, of Kirksville, about suspicious activity, he lied about his name. After an officer observed an identification card in Mullen’s wallet, he attempted to arrest Mullen. Mullen pushed down a female officer as he resisted arrest by fleeing.
The second officer was able to subdue Mullen, who was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and had two active arrest warrants.
