PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. – The murder of three adults and a three-month old child rocked the small Missouri town of Edgerton back in February.

The defendant in that murder case is scheduled for a hearing in Platte County Court Thursday morning, August 25, 2016.

On February 20, 2016, Russell and Shirley Denham were found dead at their home in Edgerton. Their granddaughter Heather Ager, 32, and her three-month-old son Mason Schiavoni, were also found dead. A fire had completely destroyed a home on the property, and all of the victims’ bodies had been burned.

According to court documents, Grayden Denham, who normally stayed at the residence, was not located there. He allegedly stole a 2012 brown Nissan Versa, which was owned by Russell and Shirley Denham.

He was located in Arizona on February 21, 2016, along with the 2012 Nissan Versa. The Nissan Versa’s Missouri license plates had allegedly been removed and replaced with stolen Oklahoma license plates.

His initial arraignment was held in June but he had no attorney representing him at that time. The court entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf.

He is due in court Thursday at 9 a.m. with a jury trial tentatively set for June 19, 2017.
