UPDATE: (01/19/17) – 6 p.m. – A warrant was issued Thursday for a Carrollton man, for probation violation. David Blair was the subject of an officer involved shooting in August of 2016. He allegedly refused to drop a firearm in response to repeated entreaties by police.
Prior to that encounter with law enforcement David Blair was placed on probation for two years after being found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault. The conviction was related to a domestic disturbance from April 2015, during which Blair admitted to firing a rifle at two individuals in a dispute.
Bond is set at $20,000 dollars. A continuance of the matter will be February 9 in Carroll County.
Continuation of the felony assault case involving officers is scheduled, January 25.
CARROLLTON, Mo. – Officers with the Carrollton Police Department were dispatched to the residence of David William Blair, 69, over a dog at large complaint on the evening of August 27, 2016. Once officers arrived in the 300 block of E. 3rd St. at approximately 10:15 p.m. police Sgt. Christopher Looney approached the Blair residence and confronted David Blair.

That conviction was related to a domestic disturbance from April 2015, in which David Blair admitted to firing a rifle at two individuals in a dispute over a woman. Blair was sentenced to two years in prison for the charges which was suspended and he was placed on two years probation.
Blair now faces charges related to the August 27 incident of Felony Assault on a Law Officer with a Deadly Weapon or Dangerous Instrument in the 2nd degree.
