CLAY COUNTY Mo. – An Excelsior Springs, Mo. resident is facing serious charges in Clay County after his arrest in November, 2015, following a chase and shootout with police.

Anthony R. Stevenson, 44, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., will appear in Clay Co. Court for a hearing Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 10:30 a.m.
Anthony Ray Stevenson, 44, eluded authorities for some time on November 6, before being found in a culvert near Dockery and 188th Streets the next day.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Stevenson was wanted on a probation parole warrant and Clay County warrants leading to the chase.
Stevenson is due in court Thursday, April 14, 2016 for a hearing, following numerous continuances.
He faces Assault or attempted assault on a law officer, armed criminal action, first degree motor vehicle tampering and resisting arrest, all felonies.
His hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. in the Clay County Circuit court. Stevenson remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.
