Convicted sexual predator, Andrew Skutnick will be sentenced Wednesday, April 13, 2016 following his conviction in February.
UPDATE (1:15 p.m.) Andrew Joseph Skutnick received life in prison on both statutory sodomy charges, as well as another 15 years for the remainder of his charges.
SEDALIA, Mo— The case against a Pettis County resident comes to an end Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with the sentencing of a convicted child molester and sexual predator.
Andrew Joseph Skutnick, 56, was found guilty of three unclassified felony accusations as well as a B felony charge during his final day of trial, February 19th.
In November of 2014, Skutnick was arrested after a juvenile came forward with accusations of inappropriate sexual contact. The minor child, less than 12 years of age at that time, revealed details to a forensic examiner, indicating she had been touched in her “bad spot”. Upon interviewing Skutnick, he denied any contact with the juvenile however would not consent to a voice stress analysis test without an attorney present.
Skutnick was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree statutory sodomy- deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years of age as well as a single count each of first degree attempted statutory sodomy and first degree child molestation. In accordance with Missouri law, Skutnick could see more than 100 years if sentenced to maximum terms.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. in a Pettis County court room.
