HIGGINSVILLE, MO – Higginsville Police announced a warrant was obtained for a suspect arrested for assault last week at a gas station.
Officers say the suspect allegedly fought with another patron at the business after making what were described as sexual remarks toward females. After police arrived he reportedly entered a vehicle reported as stolen, and led a pursuit east on I-70. The vehicle was disabled when it attempted to cross to the outer road. The man refused to surrender, prompting the deployment of a canine unit.
Charges against Khalifah Abram include two counts assault, motor vehicle tampering, resisting, two counts leaving the scene of an accident, and misdemeanor assault. Bond is denied. Counsel status is the 16th of Feb.
