MARION COUNTY, Mo. — A Monroe City man was injured in a Marion County accident Sunday morning. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Nolan M. Pennewell, 20, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro on Route Z, about three miles north of Monroe City, at 5:30 a.m. Sunday. His vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a fire hydrant and overturned. He chose to seek his own treatment for injuries.
He was later arrested, around 11:32 a.m., for for felony leaving the scene of an crash, a minor visibly intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, resulting in a crash. Pennewell was processed and released.
