CHILLICOTHE, Mo. – Charges have been filed in a burglary investigated by the Chillicothe Police Department.
Around 12:50 Tuesday morning, officers responded to a burglar alarm at a business in the 2700 block of Grand Drive. Officers found damage to the building and a large amount of money had been stolen. A suspect vehicle was located nearby, which contained evidence of the burglary. A suspect was identified by surveillance video and James Spath was taken into custody less than an hour after the breakin. A search incident to arrest yielded the recovery of the stolen money.
Spath is being held at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail on a Livingston County wararnt for second degree burglary and stealing more than $500. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash only.
