Clinton County, MO – A Holt man is accused of several charges after a suspicious structure fire on April 10 on SE 207th St. in Holt.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said 24-year-old Kainen Levi Norton was seen running from the property after the fire broke out.
Authorities said Norton was later arrested after a short foot pursuit and struggle the following day. Norton is charged with possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Missouri Division of Fire Safety assisted with the structure fire investigation, which resulted in Norton also being charged with arson in the 1st degree.
Norton was recently released on his own recognizance and has a court date June 10.
