MONITEAU COUNTY, MO – A Boonville resident was placed under arrest Thursday for suspicion of illegal drug possession.
Moniteau County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious person report at a business in Jamestown, where Jacob Runkle, 37, was identified. Runkle told officers his vehicle had run out of gas.
Runkle was allegedly on probation for burglary and assault with a revoked driver’s license. He also denied law enforcement permission to search the vehicle. A K-9 unit later found methamphetamine, which was seized. Runkle was transported to the county jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
