CASS COUNTY, MO – An Independence man was arrested following a pursuit Friday in Cass County.
Deputies and Pleasant Hill officers apprehended Curtis McClain, 29, who was the alleged driver of a vehicle that fled from law enforcement after an attempted traffic stop at Highway 7 and Route E. McClain reportedly lost control at a high rate of speed, travelling off 163rd street. McClain then drove through a field, and crashed into a wooded area. The vehicle also struck a patrol car. No injuries were reported.
McClain is charged with motor vehicle tampering, resisting arrest, and driving while revoked. He was released on a signature bond.
