RAY COUNTY, MO – The suspect in a Ray County forgery case has been released from custody.
Court documents Friday say, Samantha Hawkins, 29, was released on her own recognizance. Charging documents indicate Hawkins did not report her husband’s income on food stamp and health care forms along with forging a signature from her landlord. She allegedly received over $15,000 in food stamps and over $14,000 in health benefits.
Arraignment is scheduled for November 19.
