CARROLLTON, MO – Carrollton officers responded Wednesday to multiple incidents involving attempted assault.
Statements by police indicate William Lucas, 18, of Carrollton, and Lamont Cooper Jr., 24, of Columbia, became implicated in an alleged assault attempt at a restaurant in Carrollton Wednesday afternoon. Police say, later that evening, both men were arrested along with a third suspect, following a second reported incident, during which a firearm was brandished toward a victim at a residence.
Lucas, and Cooper Jr., are both charged in warrants listed Thursday with class B felonies for assault, as well as unlawful use and possession of a weapon, and armed criminal action. Bond is set at $50,000 each. Court dates are pending.
