MARION COUNTY, Mo – According to an arrest and crash report released by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one Monroe City man was seriously injured and arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016. 
The report details the crash showing that 43 year-old Gregory Beaver was driving an ATV on County Road 217, 3 miles north of Monroe City, when he attempted to travel up a steep, rocky hill. This caused Beaver to overturn, and was ejected from his Polaris. Beaver suffered serious injuries during the accident, and was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
Beaver was arrested shortly after the accident for driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, but was later released from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
