NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — A crash just after midnight Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a woman from Maryville in Nodaway County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers were called to 71 Highway, three miles northwest of Maryville around 12:01 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a crash involving a single motor vehicle.
Officers found that a vehicle driven by Jennifer R. Bates, 32 lost control traveling south on 71 and ran off the right side of the roadway.
Bates’ pick-up then crested an embankment and struck a utility pole before rolling onto its side. She refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
Bates was arrested a short time later and preliminarily charged with driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
She was taken to the Nodaway County Jail for a 12-hour hold.
