CALIFORNIA, MO – A California, Missouri resident is in custody after deputies arrested him for methamphetamine possession.
Deputies say they responded to a report of suspicious activity just east of California, yesterday making contact with Jacob Murphy, 35. Murphy was observed reaching under the seat of the vehicle. He initially refused to exit, and only complied with the order after deputies drew tasers. A K-9 unit was used for further search of the vehicle. Methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia were seized, and Murphy was transported to Moniteau County jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
