St. Joseph man behind bars after crash in Andrew County injures two, one critically

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — Two men were injured, one of them seriously, after their Jeep Patriot was hit head on by a wrong way vehicle in Andrew County Wednesday evening.

The collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when Roger J. Moe, 52, of St. Joseph was northbound in the southbound passing lane of Interstate 29, about six miles north of St. Joseph.

Moe hit a southbound vehicle driven by Corey Brueggeman, 21, of Wentzville knocking Bruggemen’s vehicle into a guardrail. Brueggeman was treated at Mosaic Life Care for minor injuries by his passenger, Auston Cross, 22, of Maryville suffered serious injuries.

Lifenet flew Cross to Mosaic Life Care before flying him to Kansas University Medical Center.

Moe is jailed awaiting charges for driving while intoxicated, assault second degree, driving on the wrong side of roadway and driving 110 mph in a 70 mph zone.
