OAK GROVE, Mo -A warrant was issued Thursday, June 16 against Robert L. Haynes, 44, of Oak Grove, alleging 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action.
A homicide investigation is underway in Jackson County after an Oak Grove resident was found Saturday in a driveway on Russell Road, wounded from a gunshot. Michael Noud, 27, died two days later at a hospital.
A handgun and shell casings were found at the scene, according to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Haynes told a detective the victim had discharged the firearm himself.
Witnesses told authorities the victim had an argument with his girlfriend, and was afterward shot by the defendant. Haynes was taken into custody with a bond of $500,000.
