BOONE COUNTY, Mo. — A Columbia man was detained in Boone County Friday night for alleged drug possession.
The Highway Patrol reported arresting 34-year-old James R. Slawson at 10:35 p.m. Friday.
He is preliminarily charged with felony possession of xanax pills, possession of 11-35 grams of marijuana, driving while intoxicated by drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Slawson was taken to the Boone County Jail, where he was listed as bondable. Formal charges are pending in a Boone County courtroom.
