
Zachary Standley by Carroll County Sheriff
CARROLLTON, MO – A Carrollton resident attempted to escape from custody during a morning court session in Carroll County Wednesday, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff William McCoy says Zachary Standley fled from a courtroom during the 9 a.m. docket on the third floor after a conversation with his attorney, running out the north entrance of the courthouse. Law enforcement reportedly relied on numerous tips from residents to locate Standley and return him to custody within thirty minutes of his escape.
Standley had been serving probation for original charges of burglary and drug possession. Warrants for Standley were for counts of probation violation. Standley had been serving probation for original charges of burglary and drug possession. He was taken to Ray County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
