LIVINGSTON COUNTY, M0. — A resident of South Dakota is behind bars following a traffic stop on Monday, February 12 in Livingston County.

A press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office indicates that the traffic stop was initiated on 36 Highway in Livingston County Monday for a traffic violation.
A deputy arrived with a canine unit, who alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and “a prohibited explosive device.” The Missouri Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was called in to disable the device, according to the release.
Michael Timothy Voldness, 57, of Rapid City, South Dakota is now charged for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia as well as possession of a prohibited explosive device.
Voldness is currently in custody at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, held on $15,000 bond. Future court dates are pending.
