LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. – What appears to be a shocking crime involving a murder plot was reported late Friday night, February 2, 2018, in Livingston County.
According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were summoned to Hedrick Medical Center on a report of an assault in which a juvenile victim had to be treated.
During the interview authorities learned the juvenile victim had agreed to walk to a remote location in Livingston County with two juvenile suspects.
Once there, the victim was reportedly tied up and choked and beaten. The victim also reported threats were made against them to be stabbed and left to die at the location.
Authorities say the victim’s testimony points to an attempt to make the victim agree to kill another person the suspects allegedly disliked.
The two juvenile suspects have been detained but not identified.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office thanked members of the Juvenile Office and Chillicothe Police Department as well as the Deputy and School Resource Officer for their help in the ongoing investigation.
