Large amount of marijuana seized during Macon traffic stop, teenager arrested

MACON, Mo.- Last Thursday, November 30, 2017, the Macon Police Department apprehended a teenager after officers seized a large quantity of marijuana during a traffic stop.

According to the release, an officer made contact with a vehicle at the intersection of Rutherford and McKay Streets and during the stop officers detected the odor of marijuana from the vehicle. Authorities say a large amount of marijuana was seized although it was not disclosed in the report.

A 17-year-old male occupant, Trenten A. Harris, of Macon, Mo., was arrested for felony possession of over 35 grams of marijuana and taken to the Macon County Jail.

Formal charges were filed in Macon County Circuit Court, Friday, Dec 1, 2017, and include felony delivery of a controlled substance. Harris was placed into custody on a $10,00 cash-only bond. Future court dates are pending.
