MOBERLY, Mo.- The Moberly Police Department apprehended a Moberly man early this morning after officers discovered he was in alleged possession of explosive devices.
According to the release, an officer responded to the overpass of Route M at US-63, regarding a subject possibly throwing items over the bridge. Upon arrival the officer located a 49-year-old man and items consistent with being used as explosive devices. The suspect initially resisted arrest while fighting with the officer before a bystander assisted and the subject was taking into custody.
He was transported by Randolph County Ambulance District to Moberly Regional Medical Center and released with minor injuries.
The 49-year-old Moberly man is currently in custody at the Randolph County Jail on charges of felony unlawful sale/posses/transfer of a weapon, unlawful possession of explosive device, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer. Formal charges are currently pending.
