CHARITON COUNTY, MO – A Kirksville man will spend time in Department of Corrections for a probation violation.
Brandon True had been found guilty of arson in Kirksville earlier this year and was placed on a five year suspended imposition of sentence. After a change of venue, the decision out of Chariton County Court determined a sentence of 120 days shock incarceration. True admitted to starting a fight in a Columbia bar after consuming alcohol, violating the terms of probation.
After the initial shock detention, a case review will determine whether True will spend the remainder of 7 years DOC recommended by prosecutors.
