CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A rear-end collision in Cass County led to the arrest of a Kansas City driver yesterday evening.
A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicated that Kansas City resident Philip Carter, 30, ran into the rear of another southbound vehicle on Interstate 49, at the 155.4 mile marker, just before 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Carter was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, not wearing a seat belt and was also wanted on a misdemeanor warrant from Cass County.
A passenger in Carter’s vehicle, Danielle Allen, 25, also of Kansas City, was transported to Research Hospital with moderate injuries.
The other driver, Lois Muiller, 84, of Adrian, refused treatment for minor injuries, but her passenger, Keri Lemon, 53, also of Adrian was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
