MACON COUNTY, Mo. — A Callao resident has been charged after an alleged home invasion on Monday.
According to a Probable Cause Statement, Summar Giorgione,32, knocked on the door of an apartment in Callao at approximately 1:00 a.m. The resident tried to unlock the door when two subjects, one later identified as Giorgione, shoved the door open and entered. Giorgione then shoved a large, blunt object, speculated to be a flashlight, into the chest of the resident leaving bruising and redness.
Items stolen from the residence include a purse which included around $600 in cash, a check book, two wallets, and a keys belonging to the resident’s vehicle. Giorgione was later arrested at 10:59 a.m. at a family member’s residence with two flashlights in his possession.
According to online court records, Giorgione has been charged with burglary in the first degree, tampering with a victim, stealing, and assault in the first degree and is being held on a $20,000 cash only bond. No court dates have been set at this time.
