BOONE COUNTY, Mo., — A Columbia resident was arrested this morning after a traffic stop. 
At 5:32, deputies were alerted to a stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of US Highway 63 and Highway WW. The driver of the vehicle, 33 year old Derek Long of Columbia, was taken into custody and informally charged with tampering in the first degree, driving while revoked, and possession or control of a controlled substance.
Long is being held at the Boone County Jail.
