LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo – An auto theft investigation assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff resulted in an arrest over the weekend.
A news release Tuesday identifies, Gregory Allen Simpson, 31, of Independence as charged with felonies for motor vehicle tampering and resisting arrest. An investigation began in January of 2016 after a stolen vehicle caused damage to a yard along Old Highway 190. He was arrested at a rural Livingston County address Saturday, and apprehended a second time, after attempting to flee from authorities. A preliminary hearing set yesterday is scheduled for the 28th of December.
Bond is set at $25,000.
