Ashten Surritte
ST. JOSEPH, Mo – A Smithville teen involved in an attempted drug deal earlier in 2016, in which multiple parties tried to rob each other, will face sentencing Monday. Ashten Surritte, 19, pleaded guilty in October to 1st degree attempted robbery. The incident led to the shooting death of Skylar Powell in St. Joseph.
Reportedly, she also provided Powell with a firearm before his deadly encounter with Justin Smith who was sentenced for voluntary manslaughter.
The hearing for Surritte is at 2 p.m. in Buchanan County Circuit Court.
