JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The father of a recently convicted drug dealer in Columbia was convicted himself, of obstruction of justice Wednesday, December 7.

The father of Malcolm Redmon, who was sentenced in September, 2016 for cocaine distribution in Boone County, may be sentenced to a maximum, 20 years in prison after making threats against those who testified against his son, and their families.  Court documents reportedly show evidence that Bruce Stephens, 70, supported his son’s drug-dealing lifestyle, including making threats to those who testify against drug dealers.  In the courtroom, Stephens was repeatedly heard saying, “snitches belong in ditches.”
