LIBERTY, Mo – A federal case against a Liberty attorney alleges embezzlement.
A case made public Thursday by the U.S. Justice Department states, Robert J. Young II, 47, used funds sent to him by a client as restitution payments. Young informed a client, Rodney Tatum, who was himself convicted of embezzlement, that Tatum’s money could be protected from a future account freeze, by transferring it to Young’s business account.
Young, however, was unable to produce the funds at a hearing, and had made personal purchases with money transferred from that account.
