PETTIS COUNTY, MO – Pettis County law enforcement says they were involved in a pursuit last week, after which a driver was taken into custody on suspicion of resisting, kidnapping, and drug possession.
Deputies indicate an attempted traffic stop on a truck at Broadway and Arlington led to a high speed chase in pursuit of Devon Stout. At the intersection of Route 50 and 12th, a female passenger attempted to bail from the vehicle, and was run over by the rear tires, according to deputies. A second female passenger jumped from the vehicle as it turned onto Route O, and was likewise, struck by the rear tires.
Stout was arrested after the vehicle came to a stop in a nearby field. Stout was said to be in possession of 2 grams of methamphetamine and syringes. After making bond, Stout was again arrested Thursday on a probation and parole warrant with no bond after allegedly stealing the vehicle of a relative.
