CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Two Pleasant Hill residents were injured in a Cass County accident Sunday night. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James D. Fishbaugh, 48, was driving a Pontiac Torrent on Missouri Route 58, just west of Ward Road, at 8:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17. His vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck several trees and overturned. Fishbaugh was minorly injured. His passenger, Melissa A. Cure, 52, was seriously injured. Both were transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report states James D. Fishbaugh was arrested at 9:31 p.m., Sunday, for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, no insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was processed and released.
