JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were injured in a Jackson County accident Saturday morning. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Laura R. Hill, 42, of Lee’s Summit was driving on I-470, east of View High Drive, around 1:33 a.m. Saturday. Another vehicle, driven by Nicolaus D. Mori, 18, of Lone Jack struck the rear of Hill’s vehicle. Mori’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and down an embankment. Hill and her passenger, Janet M. Hill, 63, of Kansas City, were moderately injured and transported by Lee’s Summit Fire to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.
Mori was arrested at 2:42 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated by drugs, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash and having no insurance. He was taken to Blue Springs Police Department and later released.
