BROWNING, MO – A case out of Linn County accuses a Browning man of shooting at a person from a vehicle.
The incident was reported April 6 by the victim, who accused Wendell D. Havens of firing the weapon at him. Law enforcement tracked Havens to a residence prior to him fleeing at a high rate of speed. Law enforcement later returned to the residence and arrested Haven, seizing the suspect’s firearm.
Havens is a convicted felon unable to legally possess firearms. He is now charged with 1st degree assault or attempted, a class B felony, and armed criminal action.
Havens entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ at arraignment Tuesday. A hearing for bond reduction is scheduled for April 19.
