MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo. –Four Russellville residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday night in Moniteau County. A Missouri State Highway Patrol report states Erik S. Blackwell, 27, was driving a Chevrolet Colorado on Route A, just east of Barry Road, around 8:05 p.m. Monday. His vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and struck a Honda Accord, driven by Emily B. Garrison, 31. Blackwell was minorly injured. Garrison was seriously injured and flown to University Hospital by MU Aircare. Garrison’s vehicle carried two passengers – an infant male, who was seriously injured and Zachary R. Garrison, 32, who was moderately injured. Both were transported by private vehicle to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Erik S. Blackwell, 27, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. for DWI – serious physical injury, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance, and failure to register a motor vehicle with the Department of Revenue. Blackwell was released for medical treatment.
