CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — Two Brunswick residents were injured in a Carroll County accident Sunday afternoon that led to the driver’s arrest. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anthony W. Chamblee, 46, of Brunswick was driving on Route D, one-half mile north of County Road 180 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. He overcorrected, returned to the roadway, began sliding, and traveled off the right side again. The vehicle struck the ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top. Wilma C. Todd, 62, of Brunswick, a passenger of Chamblee’s, received minor injuries. Chamblee’s other passenger, Angela G. Holliday, 41, of Brunswick was transported by ambulance to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Chamblee was arrested at 5:07 p.m. for driving while intoxicated, resulting in injury to another and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, resulting in a crash. He was taken to Carroll County Jail and later released.
