LEXINGTON, MO – Lexington police say they seized drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop this week, taking one person into custody.
According to a press release, a narcotics investigation was initiated following a vehicle stop Wednesday night for a suspected license violation. K-9 Zero located over 20 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle, and on the person of one of the occupants. A firearm was also confiscated. Christy Coker was taken into custody.
Charges have been filed, including illegal drug delivery and possession, and unlawful possession of an illegal weapon. Officers said they were also seeking charges against the driver of the vehicle, who fled before the K9 unit was deployed.
