LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO – A Hale resident was immediately sentenced after being found in contempt of court Monday.
According to Livingston County Sheriff, Gary Forrest Goodhart, 39, was extremely profane, and insulting, as he yelled at the judge in his case, during a video arraignment. The finding of contempt led to a 60-day jail sentence.
Goodhart was initially charged with resisting arrest and driving while suspended. Additional charges may be pending for assault of a jail employee, after a report to the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.
Goodhart’s arrest was due to complaints from May 9, during which he allegedly advanced toward a victim from Bedford, MO armed with a knife. Goodhart had fled from law enforcement on an ATV, and was apprehended one day later.
Criminal charges for drug or paraphernalia possession are also being sought in Carroll County.
