MOBERLY, Mo. — Moberly police says they arrested a man for multiple charges including assault on Saturday.
A press release names Monquail Williams, 34, as the man arrested on Saturday. Police say the arrest was the result of two separate incidents which took place during the nights of May 1 and May 2.
Moberly authorities were contacted by a woman who reported she was assaulted by Williams. The female victim reported she had injuries consistent with her statement. During an initial investigation, Williams was unable to be located.
On May 2, officers responded to reports of a separate assault. A male victim reported he was sitting in a car outside a residence when a black male, learned later to be Williams, approached the vehicle and began yelling at him. Williams then allegedly opened the victim’s car door and attempted to pull him out.
Officers were able to later locate Williams, who reportedly resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody. Williams was arrested for domestic assault, resisting arrest, and assault.
He is currently on parole for previous charges of assault. Court dates and formal charges are pending.
