MOBERLY, Mo. — Moberly police are releasing details of an assault investigation that reportedly occurred Monday.
At around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Kennedy Drive, in reference to a report of an assault in which witnesses were reporting a female having been choked by a male.
The male is said to have fled the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Officers arrived and determined the female victim was hit and choked by Shannon Seiger during a fight.
Seiger was located in his vehicle in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Moberly. Seiger was arrested and denies assaulting the victim. He was allegedly uncooperative during the booking process.
Charges were forwarded to the Randolph County Prosecutor for formal filing. A warrant has been issues and Seiger was placed on a no bond hold until he completes the booking process.
